The Centre for European Legal Studies on Macro-Crime focuses on the legal aspects relating to the fight against “macrocrime”, a notion ranging from core crimes - such as war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide and aggression - to those crimes entailing grave breaches of fundamental rights, to those linked to immigration, to organized, mafia-type, terroristic and transnational crime, from economic crime to environmental and food crime.
Within the framework of its research activities, Macrocrimes organises seminars, workshops, conferences and other scientific events.
Macrocrimes promotes various teaching activities, including legal clinic and postgraduate courses.
