Claudia Amodio is an Associate Professor of Comparative law at the Department of Law of the University of Ferrara.

Claudia received a Law degree with highest honours from the University of Genova (2001) and holds a PhD in Comparative law at the University of Florence (2006). She has been Visiting Professor at the Institut de droit comparé of the Université Panthéon-Assas- Paris II (2012-2018) and at the Universidad Nacional de Cajamarca (2019). In 2012, she has been granted the National scientific qualification as an Associate Professor in comparative law.

Claudia is the author of a monograph on French law (Au nom de la loi. L’esperienza giuridica francese nel contesto europeo, Torino, 2012) and co-author, with C. Costantini, of a textbook on Comparative law (Nuevas tendencias del Derecho comparado, Lima, 2016). She has also written several articles and papers on comparative law theory and method, European private law, constitutional comparative law. She is member of the Editorial Board of the series “Estudios de derecho civil, Motivensa” (Lima), “Ius Commune Europaeum e Sistemi Italo-Francofoni” (Napoli), and of “The Italian Law Journal”.
