Vincenzo Militello

Vincenzo Militello is a Member of the Scientific Commitee of Macrocrimes.
Vincenzo Militello is Full Professor of Criminal Law at the Department of Law of the University of Palermo. He chaired courses in criminal law, comparative criminal law, international and European criminal law, criminology, and corporate criminal law.
His research activities have covered both general topics in criminal law (such as risk-based liability and sentencing) and specific topics (particularly in the areas of crimes against property, against the person, and against the state), as well as fundamental issues in criminal policy (recodification of criminal law, criminal law principles, crime prevention, combating organized crime, and illicit trafficking in the Mediterranean).
He has been a speaker at numerous seminars and conferences around the world. He has held significant roles in organizations such as the "Review Mechanism of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Protocols" and the ministerial commission for the national scientific qualification for university professors of criminal law.
Furthermore, he serves as the honorary German consul for central-western Sicily, appointed by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany since 2010.
