Lorena Bachmaier Winter is a Member of the Scientific Commitee of Macrocrimes.
Lorena Bachmaier Winter Law Professor at the Complutense University in Madrid.
She graduated in Political Sciences (International Relations) 1989; in the same year, she obtaneid her Law degree, and her PHD in Law in 1994.
She has written extensively in the field of human rights, justice systems and criminal procedure, with her research focused in the last years on transnational and electronic evidence (14 books as author or editor, and more than 200 academic publications).
She also works regularly as an international legal expert for the Council of Europe and other international organizations as legal consultant, with a major role in implementing the RoL in Ukraine.
She is one of the 20 members of the European Commission’s Expert Group on European Criminal Law Policy.
She has been visiting professor in many foreign institutes and universities, including the Max-Planck-Institute and the Universities of Berkeley, Harvard and Stanford (USA).
