Dr. Stella Dal Zotto

Stella Dal Zotto graduated in Law at University of Ferrara in 2021 with a thesis in Criminal Law entitled: “Il contributo delle neuroscienze nel diritto e nel processo penale: criticità e prospettive nella dinamica giurisprudenziale”; supervisor Prof. Ciro Grandi, co-supervisors Prof. Donato Castronuovo and Francesco Morelli. After graduating, she carried out her internship ex art. 73 d.l. 69/2013 at the Court of Bologna, as well as the legal practice.
In the academic year 2022/2023 she was a scholarship researcher within the project "UNI 4 JUSTICE - Universitas per la Giustizia. Programme for the quality of the justice system and the effectiveness of due process”.
From November 2023 to May 2024, she carried out her internship at the Macrocrimes Center (Centre for European Legal Studies on Macro-Crime) at the Department of Law of the University of Ferrara.

She passed the Bar exam in June 2024 before the Court of Appeal of Bologna.

Since November 2024, she is a PhD student at the University of Ferrara. She is enrolled in the XL cycle of the PhD programme "European Union Law and National Systems" with a research project entitled: “L’esecuzione delle misure alternative nello spazio giuridico europeo. Verso la tutela effettiva dei diritti delle persone condannate a livello transanzionale”; tutor Prof. Stefania Carnevale, co-tutor Prof. Daniele Negri.

Since 2022, she is a member of the extrajudicial legal orientation desk for detainees in the Ferrara Penitentiary (L'Altro Diritto Association and Department of Law of the University of Ferrara).
