Dr. Marilù Porchia
Marilù Porchia is a Ph.D. candidate in International and European Law at Ferrara University (curriculum "Fonti, istituzioni, tutela dei diritti fondamentali nell' Unione europea e sistema penale europeo") since November 2021, with a project on the role of National Preventive Mechanism OPCAT in the migrants' administrative detention. After graduating in Law from Bologna University in 2016, she worked for a law firm that specialized in Human Rights, and was admitted to practice the profession of Lawyer in 2018. She worked with unaccompanied children asylum seekers as legal counselor for Save the Children; moreover, she worked on the legal support for trafficked women and gender-based violence survivors as legal counselor for the reception system. She was also an expert for the European Asylum Support Office at the Bologna Tribunal, Specialized Section on Migration and International Protection.
