Baldassare Pastore is Full Professor of Legal Philosophy at the Department of Law of the University of Ferrara, where he teaches Philosophy of Law, Legal Methodology and Logic, and Knowledge and Teaching of the Law. He was Dean of the Faculty of Law and a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Ferrara.
He is co-editor of Ars interpretandi, coordinator of the Editorial Board of the Rivista di Filosofia del diritto (Journal of Legal Philosophy), member of the Advisory Committee of Ragion pratica, member of the Scientific Committee of Diritto e questioni pubbliche, member of the Scientific Committee of the editorial series Ultima Ratio. Filosofie del diritto penale (Editoriale Scientifica, Naples).
He is a member of the Executive Office of the “Società italiana di Filosofia del diritto”.
He has published numerous works (including several books) concerning legal theory, theory of legal interpretation, human rights and cultural pluralism.
