Ph.D. in Human Rights at the University of Palermo; she is currently a Research Fellow in Philosophy of Law at the University of Ferrara, Department of Law.

She is an expert at the Italian national authority responsible for guaranteeing the rights of people who are detained or deprived of their personal liberty; in particular, she is involved in a project concerning the segregation of persons with disabilities.

She is secretary of the The Italian Society for Legal and Political Philosophy and member of some editorial committees. She is the author of various publications, mainly concerning the rights of persons with disabilities. Among her main research interests: disability law, critical theories (of law), vulnerability, intersectionality, legal ethics, legal clinics.
