Marco Venturoli obtained his PhD in Criminal Law at the University of Ferrara (2011), where he also held the title of Research Fellow (2012-2018).

He has been Visiting Scholar at the University of Poitiers (2015) and Chercheur Contractuel at the Équipe méditerranéenne de recherche juridique of the University of Corsica (2019).

He participated in national and international research projects. Author of various papers and two monographs: La vittima nel sistema penale. Dall’oblio al protagonismo? (Jovene, 2015), also translated into Spanish (Iran RZ, 2019); Modelli di individualizzazione della pena. L'esperienza italiana e francese nella cornice europea (Giappichelli, 2020).

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Permanent Laboratory of Criminal Law and Procedure (DiPLaP).
